WHAT DOES CPS DO?

CPS is tasked with preventing and investigating child abuse and neglect. They have hundreds of employees and have a multi-million dollar budget. Here is an organizational chart of the agency. They attempt tp do this by calling and making house visits to families which they have received reports about. The reports come to CPS in many ways. ANYONE can call and make an CPS complaint against anyone else. They will all result in a telephone call to the parents that are allegedly abusing a child.

The CPS worker then may make a home visit and demand to be let in. This is without a warrant and no court order. Even if there is nothing wrong with the child, CPS will want the parents to take a drug test and submit to parenting classes. The reason that CPS does this is to protect their jobs and make it appear as it they are doing their jobs. Meanhwile. good families suffer and children who are in true need are ignored. Several children have died in abusive households while under the care of an CPS worker.
